What political issues do you care about and what is your stance on them?
hmmm that’s a good question. I’m not really sure what constitutes a political issue. I think for example, homelessness is not a reflection of just the individual but also of society, that education should be re-approached, that capitalism should not be synonymous with consumerism and materialism, that drone attacks on civilians are unjustifiable, that the privatization of healthcare has proven to be inefficient, that nuclear armaments in North Korea should not obscure the fact that there is a generation of starving children, that Israel should not have free reign, and that America shouldn’t either, that we should have consistency in our international and domestic policies. If for example, you are pro-life then follow through by taking responsibility for that life and by investing in that child’s future. I believe that the prison industrial complex is a reality that should not exist, same for the military industrial complex, that immigration should be recognized as an issue of labor markets and not race, that the death penalty is not an “necessary evil”, that food deserts in inner-cities should be accounted for in urban planning, and that education should be free, forever. I care about the treatment of minorities and majorities, about space exploration, funding for science and for the arts. I care about the oceans, the rain forests, and the people in those rain forests. I care about the immense debt our nation has accrued. I care about small businesses that have trouble paying taxes. I care… about many different things. I hope this was helpful!
